Expected transfer rates of 93Mbps closer to 1000Mbps

I bought these as a pair of 1.25Gbps singlemode to singlemode fiber optic ethernet converters with a Bought a pair of dual-band SFPs. So far, the best I can get is a transfer rate of 93 Mbit/s. Maybe I have the wrong fiber optic cable? (Jeirdus 2 Meters 6 Feet LC-LC Fiber Optic Cable Jumper Optical Patch Cord Simplex Singlemode 9/125 LC-LC). I also noticed that one SFP-LC transceiver module has the module number SFP-GE-LX-SM1310 and the other module has the model number SFP-GE-LX-SM1550. One…

Works great under full load

I used to have a very long CAT5e cable for my internet (my ISP's RJ45 connector is in the worst place so it has to run a long way to my router ). Sometimes I had disconnections because the cable was too long. I bought a set of two of these modules (no modules), added two used SFP modules I bought cheap and ran speed tests which confirmed they can run at full gigabit with no problem. do not heat up at all, so consume almost no energy, which is a plus. The only thing I want to see might be…

Easy Peasy Plug and Play

This works with multiple SFP brands, unlike the Cisco switch which uses its own SFP. I was able to plug it directly into a Cisco switch and it was recognized correctly. a way. I've tried using multiple SFPs to connect to the Cisco SFP and it works. You don't have to do it in pairs. Thanks very much!

Surprising difference with HT streaming setup

I have a pretty good audio system. And, taking a page from the book of my digital streamer, which uses better copper-to-light conversion devices, I felt the need to see what these fairly inexpensive devices could do. So I installed one right after my (cheap) ethernet switch and the others next to the Nvidia ShieldTV Pro (about 6-7 feet). I bought a 3m optical link cable and hooked everything up. To my surprise, the video was SHARP. Even PlutoTV's crappy show looked almost 4k quality. But the…
