not bad for the price.

is good for what I use it for, npr. The tuner is simple and easy to use. It could be smaller, but I think it's ok for the price. its size is about the size of a large pager. The headphones suck as expected, but the sound is ok with other headphones. in the price range of the competition, cheap, badly designed, no name trash.

It's about as perfect as a simple little radio can get.

This radio is pretty much what I expected when I bought a small radio. It has good reception, copes well with minor interference and all switches and controls are present. What more can I ask for? Quick Tip: This radio is very light and has a strong clip on the back. To avoid interfering with it and the headphone cords, I clip it to my shirt behind my neck and hide the extra headphone cords behind my shirt. It stays neatly in place, doesn't pull the shirt back and doesn't cling to anything…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

  • Upgradeable

I have had this radio in the past and it is a great product. While it's not up to date with today's technology, sometimes a little retro is great, especially when it's a Sony FM radio. The reception quality is excellent and the sound quality is also excellent. This radio does an excellent job of picking up long distance stations and the fact that it runs on just 1 AA battery and lasts at least 100 hours is a huge plus for me. Book. Most of your MP3 players don't play anywhere near that long and

I bought one and then another!

In 2008 I bought a Sony Walkman SRF-59, a stereo version of the AM/FM Walkman which I liked and it worked well until my workplace was flooded this year and I lost all my personal belongings at my workplace . So I needed another small radio for work and really only needed FM as I pretty much only listen to local NPR radio and one country music station. I came across this Walkman SRF-56 by accident. Knowing I liked my previous Walkman SRF-59, I bought one of the SRF-56. I think I like this…
