the cooler is good. for radiators

The radiator is good. Not suitable for my Jeep as I have a heavy duty fan clutch and the clutch hits the core. Otherwise it is a good price and product.

It fits, but I had to get two in.

Will fit, but I had to buy two Eaton Weatherhead 3400X4X2 CA360 brass fittings, 90 degree elbow, 1/4" NPT, female x 1/8" NPT, male to run the lines on my transcooler connect the cooler. This was on a 1978 Jeep CJ7.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • unreliable

Good fit, poor quality

I bought this radiator for a 1980 CJ7 with a 360 cid engine. The front panel/upper tank started leaking and had to be sent to a radiator shop to have it fixed. If you are in need of a new radiator for your Jeep, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Requires socket

I recently ordered two of these.

I ordered one of these radiators in October 2013 and received a brass radiator, just like it came from the factory. Had to order another one in February due to irreparable damage from off-road driving (fan in the radiator, engine mounts and gearbox mounts were bad). With this order I received a plastic aluminum radiator which I am not satisfied with. Time will tell if it will hold up as well as brass. Update: 05/30/2020 17 years later the aluminium-plastic heatsink is still holding up. Although

another bad cooler

The first unit I replaced was damaged in transit and was quickly replaced. Then I went on vacation and installed a new one when I got back. This is a CJ restoration. The second hull had minor cosmetic damage. Based on all the great experiences I've had with Revain, I assumed this was fine. Well I found a slow leak that popped up this weekend. If that defect isn't covered by a warranty defect, I really need to consider Revain as a source for products that may have defects over the course of theโ€ฆ

Fits perfectly and works great

The first thing that struck me when I received the box was the packaging; Apparently it was an earlier return as the box was opened and resealed. There were no problems with it, but most of the protective foam was missing and the radiator was shifted inwards. However, I was lucky and none of the cooling fins were damaged. This cooler had a brand new core, but the shrouds and side mounts have clearly been rebuilt. These parts were VERY sloppily painted black with a lot of stains. Personally Iโ€ฆ

Know what you get!

I've been looking for a new radiator for my 1975 CJ for a long time but somehow came up with this one. First, please note that you are not buying what is pictured (that's why I'm giving 2 stars). I'm new to buying stuff from Revain and I'm finding it's common. Be sure to check the specs on the manufacturer's website (below) to understand what you're buying. In this case, this product has plastic tanks and an aluminum core. I wanted a tried and true copper core that would be easier to repair, so
