They work but are small and no better than a towel.

I bought these to put under the heater in the cupboard outside where pipes sometimes leak. They absorb water and I like their small size, but an old towel suffices for my use.

Pros
  • Household item
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Not as described in Paper and Plastic

I spilled about half a glass of oil. Not only did it take a while to sink in, but it went right through after half escaping from the side of the pad. Now I use it to store dirty tools or oil filters until I go for recycling. It is better to use cardboard as a substrate.

Pros
  • Paper and Plastic
Cons
  • No Automatic

Have I noticed very poor water intake? My basement is flooded due to a water problem. I placed them throughout the basement hoping to pick up water in key places. I couldn't believe it. Did I notice that these pads are waterproof and non-absorbent? I was amazed at the inefficiency of these pads? I had to rip out the bounty paper towels, which worked 10x better. Maybe they handle oil spills better? I haven't used them for this purpose yet.

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • Expensive
