These beautiful and durable straps

I bought these straps to secure my UTV while towing on a trailer. The smaller straps always froze or broke for me, so this time I went for good heavy and wide straps. I'm not disappointed. I feel confident tying anything with these straps. I highly recommend feathering those big straps.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Out of Style

Straps Non-retractable so mess

Bought these after using another brand. Now I understand that not all brands allow full retraction of the straps. That means most of the strap is loose and can't be tightened any further, and storage is a mess with lots of straps hanging around. I will buy a replacement that actually has retractor straps.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Cheap thin metal on the ratchet frame, thin straps.

If you just need something light for temporary use, this is a good choice, but do not turn the ratchet or the frame will collapse and the mechanism will no longer unlock smoothly . I wouldn't buy them again but I will use them sparingly for non-critical purposes until they stop working.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

It has some issues but can be good

I wanted to use these to get my kayak under my deck. The reel that the tape is wound on doesn't allow you to wrap the entire tape around it, in fact it doesn't even fit half of the tape. Since I want my kayak to be tight, I had to cut a significant portion of the strap. The unlocking mechanism also leaves a lot to be desired, but with some tinkering and tugging I get them to unlock after a while. In general, I'll get them working, but they're not perfect.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Something different

Broke After One Ride

These straps were used to transport an ATV to a car wash two miles away. I routed the strap through the racks on the ATV to the D-ring on the trailer. During that short ride, the belt was torn apart by a 1/8 inch elbow on the stanchion. They are made of a very light material and do not withstand any friction. Be sure to use the hooks and make sure the strap isn't touching anything as it will fall apart quite a bit. The ratchet works great but the strap itself is rubbish. I would not recommend…

Works great, easy to use, but I should have gotten a longer strap

Longer straps? Is 10 feet enough? I settled on a 10ft harness. I've used the straps 3 times and 2 of those 3 times they weren't long enough. At one point I connected them together to bypass this large pine cabinet. The second time I had to use some of those other straps I had on the truck to make them longer. So if you're sure you don't need more than 10ft I would definitely say go ahead and buy these. They work great, smooth. BUT, if you are unsure, I would advise buying with longer straps.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
