Poor suction. Not powerful enough to clean the basement. Very poor 30 day return/refund policy. I wasn't eligible for a return even after using it for the first time a few days after the return date. I want to return the money but the restrictions don't allow it. I will remove this review when I get my money back.

Don't waste your money I bought 2 of these and both hoses broke. It just broke during use. The dirt you see around the hose is GLUE. It looks like it was already a broken hose and the company tried to fix it by gluing it together and passing it to me as NEW. I will never buy anything from this company again.

I bought this vacuum cleaner to replace a same size Shopvac that lost its motor after 5 years. The price of this unit was less than a Shopvac motor replacement which may be key to what I got. The Stanley is well made, but a bit louder than my old one. What annoys me is that the hose is too short and the filter (bag) has to be cleaned too often. I'm hoping to find a HEPA filter and adapt a hose from another vacuum to solve both of these problems. Otherwise it works fine.

Bought this for use at the carpenters club. Used it once a week for about 9 months until one day it died in the middle of cleaning. I haven't even filled the bag it came with. I called the company (Alton Industries) who said since I bought it through Revain, Revain should have requested a refund/replacement under warranty. Revine said to speak to the manufacturer. Strong suction power, light weight, well thought-out design and user-friendliness. Useful, comfortable equipment. A few more notes: 1. If you pull the vacuum cleaner by the hose, it won't fall down. This is a sign of good design.2. The operating instructions do not state when or whether the supplied large paper vacuum bag should be used. Instead, you can suck into the tank, but there are issues with that. I suggest you use a large bag to soak up any dry dirt and debris. The first time I used it
