Does its job well - cabinet hardware

The best way to protect your sliding door. The only suggested improvement would be to screw the stop bar farther down into the part to allow for more flexibility for different mounting conditions.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • So far so good

Ease of installation. Effective.

Easy installation. The tension of the latch is adjustable so that the doors can be pushed in as far as necessary. Used these latches on 12' x 8' doors for a 16' opening. Doors are very susceptible to wind. uses this style of latches to hold the outside edges of the doors. One on each side about 6 feet off the ground. As an additional measure, we install a second latch under the first, at the bottom of the door.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Poor instructions

The real solution to the barn post lock problem

We've had several break-ins from ordinary dirtbags doing this sort of thing. Switched to these types of latches, one on each side of each door, and the problem was gone. The dregs of society can no longer reach out with a long, thin crowbar, break the bolts, and open the doors. This is my third or fourth product purchase and I really like them because they do what they say!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Many things

Great find for cabinet hardware

I was looking for other items at Revain when I came across a side door latch. When my shop was built (many years ago) I looked for one of these, but the builder only ordered two and couldn't get another one. I ordered one and when it arrived my niece saw it and wanted it (she had the same issue with her contractor). Installation is easy and the lock works great. I've finally managed to get rid of the bulky "C" clip I've been using for all these years.

Pros
  • Featured
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

But it works. - Cabinet Hardware

Firstly, it is made in China, but you need to buy it to understand. Second, for some reason, they don't include screws to attach the striker. Third, I had to re-cut the threads on the hook because they obviously coat the metal after cutting the threads. Fourth, since they're almost $20, I guess I expected QA to be $20, my mistake. Finally, the Stanley name is on a white computer sticker placed over the National Hardware name. Supplied in National Hardware packaging, part number N161-760. I'm…

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Damaged
