Stay away from that gas cap!

Do not buy this gas cap. It's so hard wasting time trying to get it working in a cramped back and tons of hassle. The person who made this design deserves a big slap in the face!

Works but difficult to remove and the key.

Works but difficult to remove and insert keys. I sent the first one back because it was too difficult to remove and the key cut my hand.

Pros
  • OE quality workmanship and materials
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

The rubber seal is very important for a tank cap

The rubber seal leaks after a few months and is difficult to open every time you fill up the tank. The lid seal should last at least a few years. The original lasted 10 years.

Pros
  • A high-quality locking mechanism protects against fuel theft and vandalism
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for older people

Poor design for a 2004 Chevy Express 3500

Barely, I mean, barely fits my 2004 Chevy Express 3500. but the cap barely adheres to the undamaged gas tank threads. I can't even get 1/8 turn before the clicker clicks. The two latches on the lid are too close to the top. To make it work I have to push it in with 20 or 30 pounds of force and then twist it to keep the lid in place. Otherwise it will be "unscrewed". Eventually all I have to do is grab the lid and wiggle it around, and before long it's spinning and popping out without me having…

Pros
  • A new gas cap can pay for itself in less than three months
Cons
  • Very expensive
