Sunex 2645 Impact Socket Set: 1/2 Inch Drive, 26-Piece Metric Set, 10mm-36mm, Cr-Mo Alloy Steel, Heavy Duty Storage Case Review

They are thick but not overly thick like some of the cheaper punches I've used. I had a deep set first and got it to complete the collection when I got tired of using fatter cheap shocks. The sleeves are very good, too bad they weren't made as deep, just thicker because it takes up less space in the box. Haven't killed any of my Sunex Shockheads yet. The only thing I don't like is having to spend another $20 to get a deep and shallow 31mm. I'm not sure why they're missing it in these sets.

Haven't used them for long but they seem solid and given the way Sunex makes some of the Matco impact sockets I have no doubt they will be solid enough. The best thing about this set, aside from the wide range of sizes, is that the size markings are laser engraved and also stamped in large print, making it easy for me to see the sizes in low light without reading glasses.

Excellent set. With the exception of axle nuts, this set covers every size of automotive fastener you've ever used a percussion gun on. I've been using this set multiple days a week for the past year. Mainly for car repairs. I use them on a 1/2" percussion gun with 750 ft lbs of torque. Sometimes I use a larger 3/4" percussion gun. Worth the money! I could have bought Snap-on, Mac Tools or Matco but decided to try Sunex after hearing about it from a colleague. I work at a Ford dealership and use it with my Mac Tools 1/2 1300 ft lb impact wrench from time to time, mostly when my Mac Tools 3/8 325 ft lb impact wrench can't loosen nuts or bolts.
