The tip has already broken

Not the quality I expect from knipex. The tip fell off the tongs. I regret not buying them from a tool cart because I already need a warranty. The one on the bolt carriage doesn't have a lock, which just gets in the way.

Pros
  • Sample for a year
Cons
  • boring packaging

Unique clamp pliers.

I've noticed that new cars use spring terminals instead of screw terminals. These pliers are a must for working with the new clamps. It can grip at angles that normal pliers just can't. These pliers make it easy to remove and install clamps. Plus, it snaps into place to hold the clips open.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Problems

Had to return item for hand tool

The swivel heads are too small and slip off some clamps. Of course it would be nice if Nipex could unblock it. I am a trained technician and use clamp pliers every day. Nipex never let me down but I got them back. If these two problems could be solved, I would buy them immediately. I give a 3 star rating.

Buy it. You will not regret it.

I love Knipex more than anything. They must be one of the best pliers on the market. I have replaced as many pliers as possible with Knipex. I work on airplanes so I need something permanent. You can't press with it. Several of my colleagues have started replacing theirs with Knipex after using mine. The quality is top notch. A bit pricey but hey you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • threadbare

They struggle with wider spring clips on appliances

Knipex quality is great as usual but these pliers have a hard time keeping the split end of the spring clip in the washing machine (and I would guess dishwasher) because Upside down, the plus sign wants to hold one of the two parallel springs and push the other aside. The round end - one-sided - holds perfectly. And of course these are spring clips. So if they suddenly jump, the spring will naturally fall out of reach. I suspect these pliers were designed more for the automotive industry. use…

  • Best
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

KNIPEX Tools - Spring clamp pliers with lock - Works great - TOO EXPENSIVE

ADVANTAGES: The rotating lugs that hold the hose clamp are a plus when trying to remove a hard-to-reach clamp. The locking feature works great in hard-to-reach places. The size setting is "finer" than with standard pliers. The handle length is quite long CONS: PRICE! I don't know if they are worth the price or not, most likely NOT. I'm not sure the swivel tips will last very long. Warranty? I didn't see the guarantee. Because of the high price, they MUST have a LONG warranty. Will I buy them…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Some issues
