The best upgrade for a good artificial Christmas tree in the 9ft to 12ft range. The bases attached to the trees are brittle, just wire and spot welded stamped metal. This base is very well thought out and designed and the materials and workmanship are very good. Extendable legs provide additional stability. Very good.

what the heck! Came without the 2 pins needed to attach the legs to the center post. A screw for the leg length is already out. They had a fifth leg in the box, as well as an extra screw for the base of the tree. Appears to be a return with some leftovers thrown away - it was sent incomplete with parts in a ziplock bag. Should have listened to other people's reviews - DON'T SPEND MONEY!

So useful. We had to turn off the lights on the Christmas tree, it's a lot easier to turn the tree than it is for me to walk around it. It is well built and has wheel locks. I wasn't planning on leaving it in this stand when I started, but the original stand was difficult to get the wood to stand upright, but this one keeps it strong and straight for it to stay in.

A 7.5 foot thin tree with a 2 inch flat bottom will wobble and tilt in this stand no matter how tight you tighten it. The stand will slide on a hard surface even with the wheels locked, unless it's on a carpet. Not a good buy for me, didn't live up to expectations. UPDATE 2020. WE DID NOT INSTALL OUR TREE CORRECTLY. This stand is all metal except for the wheels and inserts which fit into a metal collar to accommodate tree feet.
