Need something effective to clean out the sump tank. Did the job and pumped out several gallons in minutes. The pipe is built in sections up to about 36 inches. There were no problems. Easily broken and saved. I am very happy with this hand pump

Overall looks and works as expected. The problem is that the barrel mating connector is fine threads and a smaller diameter, and in case you didn't know (like me) there are two holes on the blue 55 gallon. barrels. To my disappointment I found that the black plastic plug that the suction tube goes through was not the right thread for the keg. Although the keg (55 gallon blue plastic) has two holes in the top (regular and fine thread), the plug that came with it didn't fit either. The thin thread on the cork was the wrong pitch. The plug adapter that came with this pump will not fit the 55 gallon blue drum. The thread on the adapter is very close to the correct pitch and looks like it should match, but it doesn't.
