Does nothing against smells.

Update: Camco capsules work well against odors but don't liquefy waste like Unique does. I use Camco and Unique and this solved my problems. Unique also seems to have cleaned my sensors. My tanks were always 2/3 full. Now after I emptied the tanks it says empty. The product seemed to liquefy the waste, but it couldn't handle the smell. I close the lid when I flush the water and I can still smell the sewer. I tried using two pods but that didn't work. I have used Camco capsules and immediately…

Convenient handling of the black tank Motorhomes

We have now used the capsules for about three black tank flushes. We can't see any difference in sensor cleaning. There are many recommended methods for keeping your sensors clean, but this company claims that this actually helps with sensors that are inaccurate because they're covered or clogged with feces or TP. We love the convenience of the pods, we don't have any issues with the smell either. So the question of whether or not our sensors will improve over time is unknown. I like this…

Works great!: Chemicals and sewer cleaners

We're the world's first RV! Last weekend we took our RV about 10 miles away for a "test drive". As this was the first time our RV was out, we didn't know whether to treat our tank before resetting or wait for it to reset to place the pod. We chose to "treat the tank before draining” because otherwise we would not be able to understand how the product would break down solid waste and TS. Hope we got it right? After that, we poured a gallon of water down the toilet and put another pod in it…

Not as expected. - RV Parts & Accessories

Follow instructions both online and on the box. Make sure the tank is empty. I added three pods and poured five gallons of water from a clean milk jug. Drove 163 miles to Pittsburgh, Kansas over the weekend. After a 3 day stay we made a septic tank. (The level read "2/3" according to the gauge.) After the reset, to my great surprise, the black water tank lights showed "full"! Dropped 3 more pods, added about 3 or 4 gallons of water and returned home. (Minimum consumption during the return…

How not to get smelly tanks

Empty your tanks completely and rinse them out if you can. Step 1. 1/2 C Borax to 2 Gallons of Water (20 Mule Team) - Continue to use the toilet as normal. Step 2 - wait 1 day, add this pod and dissolve some yeast (from the bakery) and add to the tank. Get a regular one, not an antimicrobial one, if you can find one. Step 4. Drive a lot or dance in the van to stir up the reservoirs. My husband is allergic to most fragrances and to be honest Orange + Poop doesn't smell very good. As well as…

No heavy perfumes, harsh chemicals or dyes.

These storage tank treatment capsules are fantastic. They are free from fragrances, dyes and harsh chemicals. The bacteria it contains will break down the solids in your storage tanks, making them easy to dispose of. I don't want to make too much of it, but the bend in my drain hose is free so I can see what's going down the drain. I've experimented with a number of products - most were free when I ordered other things. With every other product I've tried, there have been times when my drain…

Jump for joy! for motorhome parts and accessories

We rented a new dry camper. (Beginners in the mobile home world). We have electricity but no access to water so we have to pump water from barrels to the camper. That is why we have to save on water consumption. Which brings us to the ugly realities of black tanks. We use a portable bin that we empty every time we stop. We used TST liquid but it didn't get rid of the smell. On our most recent trip after draining the black tank, we used RV Digest It pods to treat the tank and odor elimination…

Seems a little pricey, but "really " works!

We have used several chemicals in our black van tank and have never had a problem with them. However, as we were visiting our kids in Alabama for most of July, we thought something that would prevent odors and/or liquefy waste better might be worth trying, in this heat and humidity. We were "amazed" by how smooth everything was on our next dump (about every 4 days) and have been using it ever since. There were never any smells which is probably saying something given the heat! I can also say…
