The perfect replacement. Works perfectly!

Exactly what I needed. I have an expensive thermometer and the wires in the probe have come loose from people pulling on the cord. It was the perfect replacement.

Pros
  • Temperature sensors and sensors
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Wouldn't recommend it.

Poor quality item. Inaccurate temperature readings (plus or minus 5Β°F) from my experience. The cable connections are not secured with solder or screws, they actually broke on the second use. I took the unit apart for repair after my meter read OL and successfully soldered the connections, only to find the sensor reading was 45Β°F below the actual temperature. Wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Black plastic handle melts on first use. The probe says it's rated for 700C, but the handle melted at the probe's 450 f mostly outdoors (the probe checked the ambient temperature in a coffee roaster, the "handle" was 1 inch from the roaster). The probe and handle melted. I expected that the probe, with the specified 700Β°C rating, could withstand more than half the rated temperature and would pass through the probe body without melting. The coiled cable was also very stiff, any movement of the…

Pros

  • dull packaging
