Better than HC-SR505 but still has false alarms.

These sensors are better shielded/or have better built in filtering as they are not activated by WIFI transmission like HC-SR505 when used with ESP32/ESP8266. However, you still have too many false positives. Every time the air conditioner turns on to cool the house, a mass of cold air triggers the sensor. So this may or may not work for you depending on your location.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Great little PIR sensors.

Great little IR sensors. Looking at the photos you understand that there is no fine tuning, but that is its simplicity, it just works. There weren't any false alarms due to interference from other microcontroller devices like I've seen with many others. I was first introduced to this product from a Bruh sensor and have used it in various other projects such as light switch panels.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Best of three PIR sensors I've tried

I tried three different types of PIR sensors, all available from Revain. I use this type of sensor to turn on the LCD backlight when someone enters the room. It is connected to an Arduino. The first was based on SR501 technology. It works great and has sensitivity and delay settings. However, this type of sensor is about ten times larger than the mini PIR sensor. The second sensor I tried uses SR501 technology. It's a bit smaller, but both sensors require 5V or more power, and my Arduino runs…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen
