Total bullshit!: Hatches

Cheap plastic. Sanitary connection for plastic hose. It broke before I even used it. I kept the plastic box and replaced the hose connection with metal fittings.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I don't remember

Leaks into the trailer

If you don't make a perfectly sealed hose connection, water will enter your motorhome through the box right around the fitting. The City fitting is held in place with a plastic clip and is not waterproof.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No

A good replacement for better looks

Seems strong enough. Our trailer arrived with no gravity/city water intake door. This device prevents people from accidentally opening it. It would be desirable in metal, but not seen on sale. I had to enlarge the hole but it works fine.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Extremely thin cheap plastic

For the price, I was surprised at how thin and cheap the plastic is in this product. Too late for me to go back. I believe if you already have a hole of this size in your RV then this is the item you need to replace your broken gas station. However, I'm doing a clean install and there's no way I'm going to cut a hole in my trailer to install this piece of junk. I chose a different brand, a separate filling tray and a city water connection, both holes are round. They've already arrived, and each

Barely fits, with modifications

This is the only gravity and hose filler with a lockable door. As others have said, this thing is fragile crap. It's damn cheap, but I used thin aluminum and black rivets to reinforce it. Also, hose connectors are cheap twistlocks that don't have stoppers, so I used heavy-duty hot glue in bulk to hold the twistlocks in place. Otherwise, they will unblock themselves and cause problems. I ended up giving it three stars; because the design idea is good only with cheap execution. I was able to…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
