🪟 VViViD Dark Tint Anti-Shatter Window Film: 12mil Security Adhesive, 30x78 Inch Review

I bought this product solely because I needed 12 mil. What I got is 6 million, unfortunately I cut the roll before I had a thickness gauge.

This product is advertised as if you are getting a full roll, not a square the size of your palm. I thought I didn't understand. If only he were that small. Never again will I be fooled by this way of selling online.

Bought paper 12 millimeters (which was hard to believe at first), got white paper less than 1 millimeter. Didn't do us any good as we needed sun protection on the windows/doors. Stay away or ask the seller before placing an order.

I've been looking at a lot of options and wandering back and forth forgot to look at the sizing. It was a very small sample. Luckily that was all I needed, but I wanted bulk for the price. Price, delivery and size did not convince me. It's up to me (and you) to be mindful of the size of some things we order as this isn't always obvious.

I have ordered 20% 12mil protective tint. I checked the thickness with a feeler gauge and while it's hard to show in the photos, the shade is only 8 mils thick. It would have been nice if I had ordered that, but it isn't. Between the false advertising of the thickness and the fact that I might need a darker shade, I would most likely return this product. I didn't unroll it to see if there are any imperfections in the rest of the shade.

I found a limited number of tinted screen protectors at Revain. This one appeared to be from a decent outfit based on other products reviewed. Unfortunately, this film is listed as 12 mil thick, but it is not. It appeared to be much thinner than the 3M product which was listed at 8 mils. I measured both. This one cost 6 million and 3M oddly cost 9 million. I suspect the adhesive side coating adds about 0.5 mils on both, making them under 6 mils, and the 3M about 8.5 mils. It's not a bad price…
