Catalyst Tube Rupture

In less than 18 months, a tube developed a crack that rendered the part unusable. The crack is to the left of the yellow spot. the mechanic is ready to confirm it. Now let's look at how Walker handles warranty claims.

That does not work. best catalytic converter

Not working in 2010 Subaru Forester, failure within a few weeks of arrival and installation at local workshop. Revain doesn't have a return button for them either (although they are listed with a "limited lifetime warranty"). Help?!?

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • dull packaging

Buy locally so you can come back without a headache

Part didn't work from day one, I tried to get it working in the customer's car. It took the buyer time to get in and then it took a long time to figure out how to return it. Despite the defect, Revain still cannot provide a full refund for a defective part. If it doesn't fit, go to your local store and get all your money back.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Minor issues

Don't buy a terrible product.

Very, very bad fake. The welds on this cat are rubbish I went through 2 times with horrible exhaust leaks before we just bought from the dealer. This is not a situation where you should be saving money, this product is terrible and I spent hundreds of dollars on labor to install it twice, the third one ended up fixing it and it was OEM.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Negative impression

Fits mostly as factory

I bought this to replace a broken factory distributor on my 2011 Legacy Limited 2.5. Fits mostly like it came from the factory. The only difference to the factory manifold is that the flange on the manifold is not threaded like the factory flange. Therefore, you will need new equipment to install an exhaust pipe on it. Overall I am very happy with the fit of the collector and the quality of its construction.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Article defective after 200 km.

The car did not have code P0420. Replaced catalytic converter on this unit. The code came in 200 miles. Replaced the lower cat. The code came back after 200 miles. Now I can no longer return the item. I have to buy a California emissions cat, even though the car is state-issued. Yes, I know how to diagnose a car. I have 15 years experience as a Subaru mechanic. I was just trying to save money and I bought Walker because it's a well known brand.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Almost never

Suitable for Outback 2.5 2010. Cheaper than OEM.

Perfect match for my 2010 2.5 Outback. The original front pipe broke and didn't know until it came off completely. Didn't want to spend 700€ for OEM. The right Walker pipe made things quiet again and also increased gas mileage. I had to use glass mats for thermal protection. I didn't like having a cat without anything so close to other plastic melting things. 4 stars because some of the flange to pipe connections felt a bit flimsy. I had to pick out a few awkward things. Sharp edges in the…

Deformed and unusable

The unit I received looked well built but was so misaligned that it was completely unusable. If you mount it on a perfectly flat surface, the two sides that attach to the engine block must be perfectly flat on that surface, as both exhausts on a Subaru engine are in the same plane. It had a 1/4 inch gap! (see photo). I saw another review where someone had to grind theirs a bit to fix this kind of issue, but this one was too distorted to even try. Is that something to test before it leaves the…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
