Bought to blow snow

Most of the time when I'm operating a snow thrower, my hands are still and don't move. Because of this, my favorite finger gloves are sub-optimal, and my hands get cold pretty quickly (even with snow thrower heated grips). That's why I bought them, hoping to last longer in the cold: I've spent over an hour clearing driveways in the last two snowstorms and I'm quite happy with these mittens. I think if I was doing something more physical I could feel good all day.

Pros
  • Grain goatskin
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Wells Lamont designs good products. These gloves have excellent leather quality and very comfortable use. However, the processing is unreliable. One pair might fit like a glove, no pun intended, while another, even if they're the same size, might not. Thing is, the first pair I bought were great, the thumb of the second was so tight I could barely put them on. If you are willing to take the risk that you may have to return them I would say they are worth it.

Pros
  • SLIP-ON - extended cuff with elastic gathering at wrist keeps mittens securely in place
Cons
  • narrow

good skin I use it as a leather case.

Good leather. I use it as a leather cover for my thick 4-ply Austrian wool mittens. I pulled out the insert that came with the kit. Insert is not good for what I want. Just a cheap glove lining. I pulled it inside out and cut it about 1 inch from the seam leaving some plastic wrap. Then I pocketed my woolen glove. I know the leather is already pre-treated but I added some topcoat. This made the leather darker, as expected, but also more playable and added more abrasion and water resistance. The

WRONG Wells Lamont!

Lamont Fake Wells Gloves. I work in the construction trade and know the quality of Wells Lamont first hand. Bought a pair in the same size and style from Mills Farm a year ago and they used real leather. They didn't have them this year so I decided to try Amazon as they claimed to carry them. They sent me a large pair of plastic leather gloves which are not very flexible at all, disappointing and do not match the description of what they claimed to be selling. The size difference is clearly…

Pros
  • NON-VOLUME INSULATION – 150g 3M Thinsulate back and 100g 3M Thinsulate palm
Cons
  • Durable
