🔧 Wera Zyklop 8789 B T-Handle 3/8" x 165mm Square Drive – Efficient and Reliable Tool Review

I like Wera tools but the plastic packaging they come in requires heavy duty pliers to break the part and free the tool. Not ideal if you need to use it on delivery and don't have pliers handy.

Great for what I bought it for, which was to pack in my motorcycle tool bag. It takes up a lot less space than a ratchet, and bits aren't often used on the road to need a ratchet. It's the right size and well made. It doesn't look cheap.

I was hoping there would either be a detent in the middle of the bar or that a ball bearing preventing the bar from moving would apply more pressure. However, it is difficult to keep the bar in place when using it to loosen longer bolts.

Purchased to be used with a long hex bit as a wrench on an old Elliott 4-jaw chuck. The only thing that would be better would be if there was a set screw to attach the actuator to the shaft, but this necessity is unique to my application and I'll probably add one

I wanted to buy a quality socket bar for others I work with but was not happy with the other tires used. The design and material quality of this bar are excellent. We use a slide bar to add torque/leverage and rely on that bar (and a similar 1/4" bar) the same way we rely on our socket wrenches. I recommend it to anyone who works on engines, cars or motorcycles. Serious.

I'll repeat most of what I said about the 1/4" drive version of this tool with one exception: I'm giving it four stars for saying it can , a functional tool that fits the description perfectly. I just don't like it. I read reviews that said it required a center brace and they were right.
