Rusted after 1 year

This product looked great at first but after a year it ate into my granite worktop and ruined it. The plastic ones actually look pretty good and don't have that problem. The company just told me it was taking too long and did nothing. I expected it to last more than a year. I was looking for a more permanent solution.

Very happy with the purchase! And the price is

The product is very strong, very nice matte color. I haven't set it up yet as I may have to order another to put on the spray. But when I look at it I love its color, it goes perfectly with my new sink. It seems easy to install, you just have to wait for the sink to be removed, but it's metal, not a cheap material, and once I've put it on the sink I'll add better photos of the end result.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Easy to install and beautiful shiny chrome finish

Wanted to redesign our 1950's two handle bath/shower with a modern single lever mixer with pressure balanced valve. The existing tile is beautiful, but we didn't have a replacement tile to cover the 1.5" holes where the old handles went through the wall. It was possible to use a very large chrome plate for the conversion, but we didn't like the look. We used these little chrome rims to plug holes where the handles used to be. They look good and serve their purpose well.

For small holes that need filling

I recently pulled a reverse osmosis system from under the sink. This reverse osmosis system had a water dispenser with a 0.5 inch diameter hole. I had tried other plugs before but none fit this smaller than usual hole. Works great and seems durable. I plugged in a threaded rod and sealed it before installing it in my small hole as it didn't come with a gasket. It is low and easy to wipe clean. Do not use harsh cleaning products such as a mild scrub as these can scratch the chrome. Just some…

incorrectly advertised

I bought this expecting to receive all 3 items listed and pictured. It's not like this. I have seen other customer comments that the washer is missing. Mine too. I contacted the seller and got nothing but excuses. The only reason I gave more than one star is because the color is exactly what I wanted. The area around the drain cap is leaking because the bolt cannot be tightened enough without a washer. I read that some people suggested buying it at a hardware store. Why should we do that when…

Great installation good for overlays

So I asked the plumber to install this when he installed my new faucet but there is a large screw underneath holding it securely to my sink. I just didn't want to mess with it, but I could if I wasn't too lazy to crawl under the sink and do it myself. The screw makes it much better than the original cover on the sink which was stuck and fell off over time. I also love that it matches my matte black faucet perfectly. Now if I could just find a matte black cap for the overflow faucet on the sink…

Fascination for the third time!

Great work! When I replaced the kitchen faucet I had two open holes in the sink that the new European made faucet would not cover. I first tried Ace Hardware's El Cheapo Snap Caps and they didn't work at all. I then bought some Revain (BTAPS50/BRS) 1.75" mounting caps and they SHOULD do the job. After three months, however, they began to leak - the rubber seal that came with the kit simply failed. Then I bought them and they work great! First, they are 2 inches in diameter so they cover the…

Chrome model perfect

Note: This review is for the polished chrome model. Polished chrome model to fill an unused 1 1/4" hole in our kitchen sink (after replacing our old two handle faucet with a new single lever faucet from Moen Weatherly (which works amazing btw). I needed a large hole cover to cover up some rust spots around the edge of the hole and this fits perfectly.Looks good and after 2 months the chrome showed no signs of wear (cheaper 1 1/2" diameter plastic plug which I bought locally first to lose a few…

Real Steel on Rough Plumbing

It's actually made out of metal and is very good, especially compared to what I've been able to find at local hardware stores. The local hardware stores only had scrap plastic or latches. One of these, made of plastic, I would clean once and it probably wouldn't look the same as before. I could be wrong but I just don't think a plastic cover would fit well. To make matters worse, I looked at three stores to try and find the best finished product. I buy the one that says "stainless steel" on the
