This is the thickest quilting template I have found. I love it . Your pencil or cutter will not slip easily when tracing or cutting out shapes created with this plastic material.

Nice large size well suited for templates that will be used over and over again. I use it to create Mariners Star patterns. It's smarter than a regular plastic template, but I like it for templates that I'll use again and again.

I love these THICK plastic sheets, just wish I could buy them in bulk packs rather than individually (perhaps with a little savings on buying more? :) ) I got 2 today and used them to replace my cardboard quilt templates and they both PASSED! I teach miniature landscape quilting and this plastic template makes a great window to pick the perfect area on a piece of fabric. I like that it's not entirely see-through. I also used it for pattern shapes. Durable and reusable. Good product with many uses.

I am not giving this product 3 stars because it is inherently bad or defective. It is excellent. Not exceptional, but normal. I give 3 stars because it is very overpriced for what you get. Due to my own inattention, I didn't notice that you only get 1 sheet in this package. The price of this product is very high. You can buy a flexible cutting mat (2 per pack, but 11x14 instead of 12x18) at the Dollar Store, which is a little thinner, but not by much, and makes a great sewing template.

This extra thick stencil material is wonderful to work with. The thickness makes it a little harder to cut with scissors but still doable. However, it is very expensive considering you only get ONE hand. Also, I was hoping to use it for applique, but the stencil material deformed a lot at low temperatures.
