The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

I do not consider it necessary to have a bass for the central speaker, since its main purpose is voice reproduction, and it does an excellent job with this task. For little money, in my opinion, quite decent sound quality. Different pros: Good mids and highs, compactness, appearance, volume reserve. Has cons: Bass is practically absent (if you compare it with Heco Metas Center 2, then you can not turn on the subwoofer there, it’s good sausage, but here you can’t do without a subwoofer). The…

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

For me, this speaker is functional with the NS777, NS333, and YST-FSW100 subwoofer. I am utterly pleased with the workmanship, design, and sound. A pretty well-balanced group. High-quality audio in movies has made watching them an unbelievably enjoyable experience. Even well-known movies provide a fresh impression; sounds and conversation are not jumbled and balanced, and you might hear things you have never heard before. Naturally, if high-quality, multi-channel sound is captured. I initially…

    Pros
    • Representative appearance; looks great next to the receiver and close to the TV. Superb sound. The center channel doesn't have many requirements in theory, yet the NS444 does its job better than most. Extremely nicely crafted and of high quality.
    Cons
    • There are no flaws, and the acoustics are excellent. I didn't glue the strange stickers, including the legs. And like all the varnish-coated acoustics in this series, dust is quite evident on the varnish (or it is somehow electrostatically attracted to it), yet it is very simple to wipe off a smooth surface.

The sound in movies and music was great on my Pioneer VSX-527 with Yamaha NS-555 fronts and NS-333 rears, but I felt like I was missing something. Hence, I made the surprising decision to purchase the primary channel. That which had been lacking materialized. 5-channel acoustics are required for 5-channel film sound, which is both predictable and unsurprising on its face. However, it was initially assumed that the fronts would fill the role of the central channel, but this turned out not to be…

    Pros
    • Five-channel surround sound. That is to say, the center channel speaker is a standard yamaha center channel speaker. But when I heard it with the rest of my home theater's acoustics, I was taken aback. I had no idea how drastically a movie's atmosphere and tone could shift with the addition of a center channel. I regret not making the purchase sooner.
    Cons
    • A lower price would be preferable.

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

As I have long enjoyed hi-fi, I shall write this review with great objectivity. The Infinity Beta C360 center on the river was put up against this center in a head-to-head comparison. the Yamaha 8-series. It was a Pioneer 450 player. I wanted to take a test at a more expensive, reputable location to figure out what was lacking in 444. The entire band's sound was turned on through the centers, but it had no effect on the fronts, sub, or rears. The appropriate quality movie, "The Counselor," has…

    Pros
    • If you close your eyes to the drawbacks, the pros include: + Reality of medium and high sounds due to engagement in view + Not awful power, but pounding bass ruins the impression + An underlying musicality
    Cons
    • - There is a "mumbling" sound in the male voice at a specific frequency; this is unacceptable. - Frequency response sinks information and backup plans by bringing voices and mids to the forefront. - Stage dynamics for the bass - The tops have a bit of an abrasive sound.

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

The center speaker is an important component in the 5.1 system, thanks to it speech in the cinema becomes better, the detail increases when viewing. I have been using it for several years complete with front ns-777, rear ns-333, subwoofer yst-sw515 and receiver htr-5066. The sound comes out very good, the speech is perfectly audible, the detail is quite good for her, but it takes a long time to set up and position correctly so that all conversations can really be heard, otherwise if everything…

    Pros
    • Good sound, speech is well heard when watching a movie, appearance
    Cons
    • Glossy case, annoying to care for him

    Great product, best quality.

This speaker works for me complete with NS777, NS333 and subwoofer YST-FSW100. I am absolutely satisfied with the sound, design and workmanship - too. A very harmonious set. Watching movies with high-quality sound has become indescribably pleasant. Even familiar films make a new impression, you can hear what you have not heard before, sounds and dialogues are not confused and balanced. Of course, if good quality and multi-channel sound is recorded. I didn’t consider the center necessary…

    Pros
    • Representative appearance, looks very good near the TV screen and next to the receiver. Great sound. In principle, there are not big requirements for the central channel, but the NS444 copes with its tasks more than. Very good quality and well made.
    Cons
    • Yes, there are no shortcomings, wonderful acoustics. Strange stickers-legs included, I did not glue them. And like all the acoustics of this series covered with varnish - dust is very visible on the varnish (or it is somehow attracted to it electrostatically), but it is very easy to wipe it from a smooth surface.

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

I have been fond of hi-fi for a long time, so the review I will write quite objectively. This center was compared head-to-head with the Infinity Beta C360 center on the river. yamaha 8 series. The player was a pioneer 450. I was interested in a test with a more expensive and good center in order to understand what is missing in 444. All sound turned on through the centers (the entire band) to fronts, sub and rears did not interfere with detailed listening. The film is selected - "The…

    Pros
    • + Realism of medium and high sounds, as a result of involvement in view - if you close your eyes to the cons. + Not bad power, but pounding bass spoils the impression + A hint of musicality
    Cons
    • - At a certain frequency of the male voice there is a "mumbling", this is NOT acceptable - Frequency response brings voices and mids to the fore, sinking detail and second plans. - Bass dynamics, stage - The tops are a bit harsh to the ear

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

I have a pioneer vsx-527 + yamaha ns-555 fronts + ns-333 rears = I was pleased with the sound in films and music, but still something was missing when watching films - some kind of detail. As a result, I decided to buy the central channel and . was surprised. What was missing appeared. In principle, it is expected and not surprising that 5-channel acoustics are needed for 5-channel sound in films, but it seemed that it would go like this, that the fronts would take the role of the central…

    Pros
    • The sound of a 5-channel system. That is, the center speaker itself is just a yamaha center speaker. But as part of the rest of the home theater acoustics - I was very surprised. I didn't think a center channel could change the feel and sound of a movie so much. Should have bought earlier!
    Cons
    • The price is a bit high.

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

installed, connected and realized that the center channel in home theater mode is a necessary thing. voices, speeches in films fell into place. and they are perfectly audible, and the fronts began to do their job as they should. I initially took it, so to speak, in addition to the rest of the components, but now I realized that it was not in vain. of course, you will hear the best effect in a high-quality licensed film. On downloaded rips, as a rule, the sound is recorded in 2-channel mode and…

    Pros
    • beautiful, austere appearance. suitable for any interior. perfectly complement the entire ns 555, 777 and 333 series. gorgeous sound.
    Cons
    • they have no shortcomings. unless, of course, you are an avid audiophile who deliberately bought not the most expensive hi-fi acoustics, who will definitely find overtones, mumbling, seething and something else in it. Of course, I'm not an audiophile experienced in high-end sound, but the bear didn't step on my ears either. From my father, I inherited a good ear and a sense of rhythm, and I didn’t notice any overtones and other things at all. and the center channel does not need bass, for this there are front speakers and a subwoofer.

    Excellent Value Center Channel Speaker

Don't skimp on the center channel as it's probably the most important part of your home theater system. It's obviously not a high-end center speaker, but for the price you can't beat it. The sound quality of this speaker is exceptional, the build quality is what I would expect from a Yamaha and the finish is of a high quality too. Make sure you pair it with decent tweeters and woofers as this will definitely overwhelm a cheap kit (unless you know how to set the speaker levels in your receiver's

Nice center speaker but quite BIG

I did a lot of research on center speakers and ended up with this Yamaha over its more expensive relative (NS-C310). As usual, I bought Revain ($102) in stock and saved even more money. Here's what you need to know 1) I'm happy with the performance of this speaker - it handles dialogue well. It also supports my shared Yamaha 5.1 system well. 2) It's big - find out the dimensions before you buy it. I did but was still surprised by the size. You can't hide it in a closet if you don't have a small

We updated our center speaker and we're glad we did!

Speakers are difficult to buy on the internet. Everyone hears differently, well. Otherwise. I really like this center speaker that we paired with our Yamaha ceiling speakers. Speech and action scenes are crystal clear, free from the metallic distortion we experienced in our cheaper Sony center speaker. However, I would recommend anyone looking for a center speaker to go to a large store and listen first. The center speaker is a critical component of any home theater system and can degrade or…

    Excellent center speaker

I already have an NS-555 as my front speaker, so matching the audio with the NS-C444 was really the next logical step in building my home theater. Yes, the measurements listed on Revain are STILL incorrect after 2.5 years, but if you click on "See more technical details" the correct measurements are shown. As a home theater enthusiast looking to build/upgrade a system component by component, you will need to do your research on the manufacturer's website and other online resources. So how good…
