Review on Etherwall by Paul Maduagwu

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Etherwallet only available on desktop OS.

Etherwall is a a beautifully designed Ethereum wallet. Its user interface is simple yet well arranged for seamless Ethereum and Erc-20 transactions. The wallet can also link to the Trezor One hardware wallet, Trezor T model is not yet supported.
On Etherwall people have the freedom to send and receive coins anonymously and while having access to their private keys. No KYC required to use the wallet. The cryptocurrency space has grown, though a good chunck of it are ERC20 tokens most users would still need a multi-cryptowallet to keep most of their coins together. That is the main challenge with Etherwall that supports only Ethereum blockchain and its usecase limited to sending and receiving coins, and no DApp support.

Pros
  • Free to use.
  • Available for Windows, Mac and Arch linux operating systems.
  • Open source wallet.
  • Trezor One hardware wallet support.
  • Access to your private keys.
  • Easy User interface.
  • Uses backup file for wallet restore.
Cons
  • Only supports Ethereum blockchain.
  • No mobile wallet support.
