Review on Enhance Your Visual Experience with Logitech C260 Webcam by Wiktor Barczuk ᠌

Cool product, happy with the purchase, maybe I'll buy it again.

I was given the responsibility of using Skype to communicate and record a training video. After carefully weighing all of my options, I decided that this model offered the best value for the money. The fact that the movie was obstinately filmed at a frame rate of only 15 frames per second, resulting in hazy images during motions and jerky movement in general, partially ruined the effect. I forgot to mention that I was using 64-bit Windows 7, which made the issue worse because Logitech's native video recording software only recorded sound, not audio. Other programs, including Skype, received sound flawlessly, therefore it was discovered that the issue was just with the program in question (Logitech Webcam Software ver. 2.51 rel. So, if you run into this issue, feel free to delete the program and avoid making mistakes in front of the camera. A few simple steps allowed the 15 fps problem to be resolved: 1. In the camera settings, disable the RightLight feature before starting a recording. 2. Among free apps, Potplayer (version 64 Bits) proved to be the finest choice for recording for me. It turns out that this device offers exceptional recording capabilities from both a webcam and a screen, in addition to being a magnificent player for any media. So I strongly advise. I quietly wrote a widescreen video in 480p with 30 frames per second after fiddling with the settings. Additionally, the application supports a variety of writing formats. In my case, the final MKV file had a size of roughly 22–23 MB per minute of high-quality recording, which is acceptable for further processing.

Pros
  • Excellent picture quality, low-light sensor sensitivity (moderate noise), and sound
Cons
  • For this price range, almost none. However, the wire next to the USB port is fragile and may eventually cause issues. In my situation, being able to put on a tripod would be really ideal, but I have not encountered this in cameras from this sector.
