Review on ๐Ÿงถ Efficient Yarn Swift and Ball Winder Set for Knitting Yarn: Practical Yarn Holder by Amber Perez

My goodness, damn it! This thing is crucial when winding yarn!

I used to spread my knees to lay down a thread and then slowly wind it up by hand. But the yarn often got tangled and it was a tedious process. Sometimes I used the back of my chair to pause and resume the process, but the yarn still got tangled and it took forever. Then I dyed some yarn and it got a little more tangled than a fresh skein so I gave up and got this Swift. I also ordered Winder but it was delayed so I just used Swift to make the ball. I simply placed this Swift on the edge of my dining table and placed a slightly matte colored ball of merino wool on top. I then started hand wrapping the ball since my wrapper was still in the mail. Ouch. My. God. What a huge difference, this thing was just spinning and releasing yarn while I was making a ball. In no time at all I wound both strands into pretty little balls. Normally this process would take me 2 hours or more, but with this swift and my hands it took 15 minutes per strand to wrap. I suspect it will take even less time with a curler, but I should try anyway. It unfolds beautifully out of the box and I can adjust the height and width of the swift to hold the yarn properly. It also folded well and returned to the plastic box, but for some reason I couldn't reclose the top lid of the box. Regardless, this thing works and it's built pretty well. I didn't want to spend too much on it and this brand was way cheaper than the wooden versions I've seen. Goodbye! In no time at all I wound both strands into pretty little balls.
