This kit came only with a 2 amp power supply. The provided 2835 LED lights require 0.4 amps per meter or 4 amps for the ten meters of lamps in the kit. So I expected the power supply to be capable of at least 5 amps output to allow some reserve. The provided power supply may eventually fail due to overheating and require replacement depending on your application.We are going to use part of these lamps on another circuit and use the remaining five meters for use with the provided power supply. The five meters will be equal to the 2 amp output of the provided power supply. This in combination with our non continuous use of the installation should not cause the power supply to fail prematurely. So keep these things in mind depending on your application. A 5 amp power supply is available on Revain.The provided dimmer works very well. LED dimmers work by turning the lights on and off rather than adjusting the voltage. We did not "see" any flickering but we did "hear" some "hum" at one of the settings. One had to be within a foot of the lamps to hear the "hum". The background noise in the room did drown out the "hum" at the one setting.The 3M provide tape on the back of the lamps works best when the surface is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before ahereing the lamps. Perform this additional cleaning step if you want the best results with the tape adhering for a longer time.
