Review on Razor 13013240 Scooter Maximum Weight by Barbara GM ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing I have ever used, highly recommended!

Last year I bought this scooter for my wife to ride with a child. And in this I decided to buy myself too, I read reviews about this model and was horrified. If it had not been used for a year, I would never have bought it. In fact, most of the negative reviews are left by people who made the wrong choice when buying a scooter. A5 LUX is a compromise scooter. In the context of the task set, many of its characteristics can be regarded as both an advantage and a disadvantage. 1. Oak polyurethane wheels. Rough to ride on rough roads, but comfortable to ride on a good surface, good rolling. For driving on pavers or rough terrain, it is better to buy something with inflatable wheels and shock absorbers (maybe even a bicycle). 2. Narrow deck. You can’t put 2 legs side by side, the pushing leg will always hang a little, but you don’t need to push your leg wide when pushing, which reduces fatigue from riding. 3. Small ground clearance. When leaving the sidewalk, you can catch on the bottom of the deck, but on a flat road you don’t even need to squat to push off - I push off with the toe of the lowered foot. 4. Lack of shock absorbers. Rough to ride over bumps and potholes, but reduced weight and energy loss when driving on a good road. Small irregularities are compensated by soft polyurethane foam grips. 5. The folding mechanism really rattles and apparently nothing can be done about it - the square aluminum profile that is inside the frame rattles. Pay for ease of folding. By the way, a different mechanism is used on the A6 LUX model, apparently for this very reason. 6. Like many other users, I hurt my leg several times when I tried to carry the scooter by the handle :-) Then I realized that I need to wear it either in the folded state, holding my hand at the junction of the steering tube and the frame or by the lower part of the steering tube, if you need, for example, to cross the road with the child. By the way, my height is 185, weight 77 and foot size 43. The grips are a bit short for my taste. I have no problems with the height of the steering wheel and the length of the deck.

Pros
  • Rugged, fast, compact, fast, reasonably priced
Cons
  • The folding mechanism rattles, in the rain the rear wing can not cope - the legs are splashed
