The press worked fine as far as heating things goes. There is a nut where the top thing that makes it clamp down attaches to the top plate. It is very difficult to tighten because it’s in an awkward spot. It CONSTANTLY came loose and needed to be tightened at least once with every use of the machine. When it got loose, the top hung lower and could be difficult to move on and off of the item without catching what I was pressing and wrinkling it up, moving it, or otherwise messing it up. So the press was frequently frustrating to use. Now the welding where the vertical pole attached to the base has failed. The top is now completely unattached from the bottom and the press is useless. Honestly, although I made it work for several years, I would not buy this press again.
