I had over 2 dozen fans and they all claimed air with unique designs of multiple fans, large fans, suction designs, blowers with the hood attached and move everything differently. still mediocre. This large fan itself has good airflow and can keep my laptop moderately cool, but eventually it really just moves air across my desk and doesn't deliver sustained cold air (because longer sessions alter air temp). Ambient temperature around the laptop, this should happen as the air is usually warmer, and these fans only circulate the directly accessible air) The problem with ALL is that they use a USB port, which can only supply so much power, fans, ALL will always play too little, so I bought an additional Infinity Turbo power supply fan for MULTIFAN series USB fans. This is a power supply designed to increase the performance of AC Infinity USB fans. it is not intentional so be careful! For scientific reasons I connected my thermaltake to a turbofan USB booster as the fan performance was ok and it was important. YES, the fan won't be much louder, but it's noticeable at the highest settings without a booster, but the airflow will be twice the noise for a small sacrifice, I was surprised at how much MORE power this gives the fan, which is now active pushes much more ambient air and sucks in much cooler air. This was my experience.
