Review on πŸ“Έ Enhanced Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner: 4GB SD Card & USB Adapter Included with EasyStitch and StoryScans Talking Images Software by Wesley Sharp

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's good for what it is. But there are some design flaws.

Like everyone else, I bought this scanner to scan old photos that cannot be deleted from photo albums. Pros: - Very light, easy to carry - The photo quality is satisfactory considering that many of my old photos are 3" x 3". Better than the simple way of using a smartphone. - Easy switch from tablet to ceiling. The scanner was turned on again because the connection in the battery compartment was not tight enough. Eventually, I realized that this "band" was in the wrong place for me. Flip Pal support didn't help with this issue, I'm trying to figure it out myself. Also, as everyone has said, the fact that the thing runs on batteries seems a bit outdated to me. Couragent should release a version with a rechargeable battery pack or something like that. - Not enough control with for resolution. You only get 300 dpi and 600 dpi. I'm a graphic designer and image resolution is crucial for me. The display and user interface are a little awkward to navigate. Every time I turn on the device I have to change the date again. I find the cost very high compared to traditional flatbed scanners. Overall, this scanner is a little clunky to use, but in the end the image quality is still better than if you were using a smartphone. I just think it could be improved. I will continue to use it for photos that I cannot use with a traditional flatbed scanner.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost never
