Review on 📶 DPC2100 High-Speed Cable Modem, Compliant with DOCSIS 2.0 Standards by David Bartan

I replaced the exact same Time Warner Scientific Atlanta modem yesterday (by model and version number but my replacement is a few years older according to production date 1/2007) Label and original TW says not Webstar). It took me over 30 minutes on the phone with TW to get it working. I told the first TW tech it was a Scientific Atlanta modem (didn't want to mention WebStar in case it caused problems). No comments from him. He didn't ask for a model number or anything like that. While trying to figure out why it wasn't connecting (even though it could "see" it after I gave it the MAC address), I accidentally dropped the call. No call back so I called again and got a different technician (he asked me to call back #). I told him (if it had something to do with my not connecting) that this was Webstar Scientific Atlanta; still no comment from him. Oddly enough, the final step required to get it working was to reboot (shut down) my Apple Airport Extreme for a few seconds. I don't know why as it is downstream of the cable modem but it worked. Speed is currently 14Mbps (over WiFi) which is slightly less than the 30 day TW average for this area, according to the SpeedtestXHD iPad app, 2ft from Airport Extreme. I'm seriously considering doing the same for my dad, but since there's a merger with Comcast going on, I'll do a little research first, because these modems are very old, technologically old.
