Review on 100 Unique Gel Pens Set - Artlicious ULTIMATE Collection | Non Toxic & Acid Free | Perfect For Coloring Books! by Rick Rownd

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Definitely worth it!

All pens are full, with consistent ink across the board. None looked used, and the pens seem sturdy, and not broken easily. Package was flimsy; came with 10 trays of 10 pens and the trays are a bit more sturdy, but the pens don't go back into the trays very well. Lids come off and go back on easily. The glitter pens don't seem super glittery to me when writing, but the glitter is a bit more noticeable when coloring. They dry very fast; I didn't have any issues with smearing. This pack does have a lot of unique colors, though in a lot of instances, the colors are only a shade or two different. At first I thought there were tons of duplicates when just writing with them; it took me having to color side by side with them to notice a difference in the hues. However, I did come across two definite duplicates with a pink and yellow glitter. Not too bad in a pack of one hundred, in my opinion. I love that there are SO many glitter pens, because those are my favorite. The peach/skin tone pen was truly rough.very, very scratchy to the point I may throw it out if it doesn't get any smoother once I use it a few more times. I wish the colors were named, but out of the four different brands I bought this time around, none of them did this. At least this company put their name brand on the pens; two others I bought didn't even have that. The red glitter pen dried about 50 shades lighter, and it's definitely pink when dry, so I was a bit disappointed in that. It was a deep red color when wet. Some pens are so light you can't really see them (like all brands) and there were some ink flow issues with some of the pens. Neon pens were scratchy, but I am finding out that seems to be the normal with most gel pens, regardless of brand. It seems the lighter the color is, the more scratchy the tip is. Don't understand it, but okay. I thought I had found a "dead" pen; I scribbled and scribbled and nothing happened. I put it aside for a while and then went back to it later. I had to hit the tip, hard, multiple times to finally get it started, but that was the only pen that did that.Due to some of the issues mentioned is why I couldn't truthfully give them five stars, but I would give them four and half if I could. I would definitely recommend and I will buy these again in the future.

Pros
  • The pens use gel ink that flows evenly and consistently
Cons
  • Ink may dry out in cold temperatures
