I recently bought this to upgrade an old Linksys with DD-WRT installed. Linksys has been absolutely reliable, I've never had to restart it in over 3 years. I wanted to find something with a faster wireless connection that was just as reliable, and that helped. I haven't even restarted it since I installed it a few months ago. He's been bothered by numerous reports of noisy devices, and mine is no exception. You can hear it working when you're loading something and you're less than 10 feet away. Some might find this very annoying, but it doesn't bother me at all. It's just lazy engineering and the manufacturer can solve it without too much trouble, but for some reason they don't care. Anyway, I didn't care. Once you set it up, you'll probably never touch it again, which was exactly what I wanted. The setup utility uses Java, so you'll need to install this junk to set it up if you haven't already. I'm not a Java fan, so I put this crap in a virtual machine and set it up from there :-)
