Review on Blue Yeti USB Microphone Slate by Tricia Grundmeier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I bought three. Best (basic) microphone for video or game recording

I bought three of these microphones. I'm a teacher with a flipped classroom and I record all my live classes and this mic made the process so easy. Even if you are not very tech savvy, you can easily get the sound you want with this microphone. I've tried recording with other headsets or USB lavalier mics but they don't work as well at 1/10 as the Yeti Blue mic. I use one setting for video recording and the other (omnidirectional) for lesson recording. Just the presence of a formal-looking microphone transforms the classroom. The students like to use the microphone. I give permission for myself, the esports club, to use the microphone when they broadcast their Rocketleague games and tutorials. They love using this microphone. You get a professional microphone with a really good compressor at no extra cost. The Yeti Snowball is good too, but I really like the quality of the Yeti Blue. Great for teachers and for games.

Pros
  • Unique positioning design: Point the microphone in relation to the sound source and rotate it to optimize the sound quality
Cons
  • Empty
