Review on 🎧 Enhanced Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset: Optimize Your Audio Experience by John Fuentes

My wife and I just got excited about Skype as we have just become grandparents and want to keep in touch with my son and his wife who live out of state. We wanted to improve the sound quality for our calls and go beyond the MacBook Pro's built-in microphone and speakers. Many other Revain reviewers rated this headset as a great choice for a Mac. You were right! Once you get them and use them, they're instantly recognized by the Mac and show up in the 'Sound Preferences' system preferences (to use a headset instead of the built-in mic and speakers, you'll need to select it there, as well as in 'Skype Preferences too ! ). Volume levels are quite high for both input and output, giving you plenty of volume when you need it. The microphone is very sensitive and also provides enough volume when you need it) The volume controls +, - and mute right on the headset cable work great with a Mac. The on-screen volume meter appears the same as when using a Mac keyboard. The sound quality seems excellent (I hear everything clearly!) even for my poor average and slowly deteriorating hearing. I can't rate the comfort of these headphones over long periods of use in a single session, but other reviewers seem to say they're extremely comfortable. I agree the fit on ear is perfect and the softness of the "cushions" on each ear cup is firm but very comfortable and seems to be of great quality so they don't collapse or shrink over time. Build quality seems very good for a sub-$20 headset. Because you can use them on a USB connection instead of the dual-plug laptop input/output ports, you can connect and disconnect them quickly. I assume they will also work well if we use a couple of them at the same time for call sharing or even on a USB2 hub. We are delighted with this purchase and the price and of course that it works so well with the Mac. The LifeChat LX-3000 comes highly recommended for your Mac if you want a great headset without a big investment.
