Review on Microsoft LifeCam Studio For Business by Chad Cross

Overall a good product but with some serious design flaws

This webcam does the job. Image quality is fine for standard use, and it's plug-and-play on Windows 10, making it easy to set up. However, it has some disadvantages. First, autofocus. The camera sometimes gets randomly out of focus and can take 30 seconds to focus again. The autofocus itself isn't that good and takes a lot longer than most modern cameras should. But the autofocus works well, if not slower. Next is the clamp. The camera is attached to a handy rubber or silicone clip (I don't know which), fairly durable and easily adjustable. The only problem is that it's not very tight, making it difficult to mount the camera on a flat surface. But nothing a few strips of duct tape wouldn't fix. Also annoying is that the USB cable connects to the camera from the front of the clip instead of the back. It's not a major issue, but it does mean that the USB cable gets in the way a bit more. Also, the camera will get warm if you use it for a while, e.g. B. if you use your iPhone on a sunny day at maximum brightness. Not hot, but not cold either. In general a good product. In my case, the camera was plug and play in Windows 10.
