I've been setting up home networks for a few decades. I installed custom firmware to improve the functionality of routers and access points. I will never do that again. I bought this system to replace my ISP's router and hotspot (I put it in bridge mode) along with two other hotspots needed to access the entire property. I couldn't believe how quick it was to set up! The app is incredibly intuitive and they're not kidding when they call it AI. At first I had two (the main unit and one node) in the ethernet and the other as a repeater from the first node until I took the time to set up a second node in a shop behind my house. He immediately figured out how to connect everything and showed the ideal layout of the nodes, while the node connected via Ethernet has a lighter connection than the relay node. When I brought it to the store and clicked on "optimize network" it took me about 4 seconds to reconfigure it. It now shows that it is connected to the main router with a light line instead of a fainter line connected to the first node. Fabulous! Many other features remain to be explored. The range is long, installation is easy, they're compact and attractive, and I don't expect to have to make any changes to the system for years. My only issue is they are not set up for a wall or ceiling. Fasteners, so I had to come up with new places to place them (relative to the units they replace). Not an issue enough to deduct a full star, but it's an annoying limitation. As attractive as they are, I don't want them to get in the way, and the finishes of shelves and counters in our homes are very important.
