Type of review

My old 2TB disk crashed on the same day I managed to dump my whole media collection, so I bought an identical disk with a built-in player thinking that WD rehabilitated itself for over 3 months of the purchased disk. Some of the photos were saved in a backup copy, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it wasn't the disk itself that failed and not the controller. I have, in fact, been a video collector for quite some time. After years of using computers, I still don't trust WD. However, I…

Pros
  • inaudible at high volume
Cons
  • large, requiring an additional power source. After three months of effort, Zdoh mysteriously disappeared from the system while recording data (with an error message stating that further recording was impossible) and hasn't been seen since. After 10 minutes of being plugged into a USB port and doing absolutely nothing, a disk showing a size of 0 bytes will appear.

I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

I employed it to keep videos (I only watch in Full-HD format, so I need a lot of space). There were no issues with playback or functionality (the TV detects the screw without problems, films of 40 gigabytes do not slow down at all). But while he was removing the cabinet's screw in the thick of the new year's festivities, he was unable to hold it and dropped it from a height of roughly three meters. The files are now visible because the screw is being read, but not all of them are loaded because

Pros
  • large capacity, attractive style
Cons
  • 1. It spins up for a long time when connected (a disk without external power is detected much faster) 2. died after falling three meters. 3. The price has increased by $2,000 in the past six months!

The product is very low quality, not what you need at all.

I thought that WD had rehabilitated itself for over three months by the time I bought a similar disk with a built-in player, but that disk failed on the same day that my previous two-terabyte drive did, on which I had successfully dumped my entire media collection. I have high hopes that it was not the disk itself that failed, but rather the controller, and that the data has not been completely lost because some of the photographs were saved in a single copy. Indeed, I've been amassing a…

Pros
  • silent, huge volume
Cons
  • a power supply located outside the main body. Zdoh after 3 months of work: out of the blue, while recording information, when approaching the limit of 2TB, it simply fell out of the system (there was a message that it was impossible to record) and never returned. Nothing happens after being linked to USB for ten minutes; after that, a disk that is completely empty emerges.

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

Presented both the positives and negatives. Since the year 2022, I have been using. A sleek and silent external drive of superior quality produced by Western Digital. It's a shame that there aren't more models out there like this one. This jewel is one of a kind. The data rate is unaltered from what was previously reported. I am in favor of dependability. This is absolutely true. Has some pros 1. Not cumbersome 2. It lays down and doesn't stand up, so you don't have to worry about falling over.

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

I purchased it as an external hard drive at the end of 2022 for the price of 3,500 dollars. After taking it apart, removing the hard drive (a Western Digital WD20EARS), and inserting it into the computer, I continued to use the board and power adapter to use it as an external hard drive on occasion. I don't know what else to say other than the fact that the disk is fantastic in terms of the price-to-volume ratio while also proving to be pretty reliable. In spite of the fact that the operating…

Pros
  • - The relationship between volume, dependability, and cost - Durability - High speed linear recording, similar to that which might be found on a disc from the more cost-effective Green series (although the USB 2.0 interface cuts the speed by about half) - Simple to take apart and reassemble
Cons
  • The default configuration causes a significant amount of crunching. - With heavy use, it can get quite hot (the highest temperature I recorded in the case was 54 degrees) - With the default settings, it can have a negative effect on the resource if you leave the head parked at the default position.

Performs its functions, nothing unusual.

Purchased for use as poppy's data repository. Prior to that, there was a 4TB Seagate external drive and a 4TB HGST internal drive. Currently, your only real options are Seagate or WD. Excellent linear read-write speed of 160Mb/s. Unlike HGST, the volume level is relatively modest here. Following the recommendation in one of the reviews, I placed it on a book to dampen the vibration and hum when it was not in use. It came as a shock when Seagate stopped working after only three years. For the…

Pros
  • Low operating temperatures despite prolonged usage, high capacity at a reasonable price
Cons
  • Built-in power-saving mode that cannot be disabled. The contents of the CDs appear to be highly inconsistent between batches.

Some pros: In general, I am very very satisfied that I bought at the old price. Bought on February 26, 2022 for 8,290 . Now 29990 p. the same disk costs. 3 weeks experience. Everything was delivered well, everything works. I made a backup of the data, now I sleep peacefully Has cons: The courier brought it and took it out of the yellow box, there was a feeling that my disk was lying there next to someone's sushi. I did not check with the courier. There was a dent in the cardboard box, a small

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

For a long time (more than 5 years) I have been buying and operating WD as external storage. today I have 5 of them. old ones are clogged, I buy new ones of a larger size. to date, not a single drive has failed, no problems have been found. to compare Seagate, 2 drives have problems with write speed and broken clusters. Buffalo (2-screw system) started to make a lot of noise = there were problems with cooling

Pros
  • large volume common form factor no noise, works well
Cons
  • for a month of operation did not determine the shortcomings

Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

Smart shows that the disk inside is WD80EDAZ-11TA3A0. The actual rotation speed is 7200 RPM. Everywhere they write 5400 - this is not true, measured by vibration with a spectrum analyzer. Judging by the Internet, inside the disk is ordinary air, not helium. Different pros: Not SMR! I specifically ran benchmarks that write non-linearly to disk for a long time. I manually copied a lot of data to it arbitrarily in several threads. It was not possible to achieve a drop in the recording speed, as…

I want to say that in terms of price / quality ratio, this is an ideal device, not for those who write 600GB in 11 hours, it took 7 hours to send 917GB of video directly from the server, this is normal. The speed is enough to listen to music from it, work with software, while it is checked by an antivirus or defragmentation is in progress. Excellent device, I recommend.

Pros
  • Inexpensive, practical, does not heat up above 47 even with a daily load.
Cons
  • The transfer speed is low, but the built-in hard sharid HD movies are slower than this device . and of course the eSata port would be very useful)))) but for this money you will not find it anywhere .

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

Different pros: working price is acceptable works quietly, finally can not hear Has cons: for now, the fact that the disk is really 931 GB (but oh well. not really upset) only what works through the adapter is possible not via USB, but these are trifles

Excellent product, the best quality.

purchased roughly one month ago. works for the most part around the clock with one or more personal computers. Watching videos, playing games "without brakes," and doing other things are all possible thanks to the adequate data transfer rate. The temperature hardly seldom rises beyond fifty degrees. After using the computer for the past four years, numerous screws have been adjusted in order to achieve the desired increase in volume. Just WD, out of all the companies that make propellers, did…

Pros
  • excellent screw available at a reasonable price. does not create any noise and allows for an easy and quick reconnection between two computers.
Cons
  • the power supply has an awkward and cumbersome form. If there is something on the pilot next to him that has to be turned off, then you are required to turn it off. The end of it.

Nice product, happy with my purchase and may buy again.

The thing that surprised me the most was that when I turned it on, nothing happened. For a brief moment, I even thought that the disk was broken; it wasn't until I picked it up that I felt a slight vibration from it. This was the thing that surprised me the most. It runs with hardly little noise or vibration at all. I am able to view high-definition video on it without any issues, and you can even watch video while transferring data at the same time. The rate at which data can be transferred is

Pros
  • Extremely quiet. Price (I paid four thousand for it, which is not a lot for such an external drive; it's not very expensive). Does not vibrate (I placed it on the table not too far away from me, and I did not feel any vibration). Gorgeous look.
Cons
  • It gets to a temperature of 56 degrees and heats up quite a bit (especially quickly when working with a torrent when watching a video, the indicators are better)

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

With its pros. The price of a device with a WD hard drive is cheaper than a hard drive separately. Cons: The disadvantage is that earlier this device was equipped with a connector for accessing it over the network. Right now it's just a locally attached hard drive via USB.

The perfect product for any user!

Its pros: Writes very fast! I copied a video library of 170 MB / s to it, occasionally it dropped to 140. I have never seen such a high write speed, my other disks are 50-110 MB / s. Has some cons Heads crackle slightly during operation. It can only be in one position. Constant backlight disturbs at night.

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

Unexpectedly quiet. In general, it is not audible at work even at night (I set the copying of the backup to itra). The shutdown button automatically resets the cache to the feint, the hardware analogue of "safe removal". Devices of this capacity are expected to have a USB 3.1 interface with a USB-C cable, but this is still the last century. The average write speed to disk is 40mb/s. Inside there is a WDC WD140EDFZ-11A0VA0 - if you take it out and put it in the computer, then only through the…

Pros
  • Very quiet. Large capacity. Off button on the case. Reasonable trade-off volume/price.
Cons
  • The vertical position of the device. Obsolete USB 3.0 interface with Micro-USB cable (Wide) Therefore slow. A bright light bulb - an indicator of work, non-switchable, had to be sealed with electrical tape.
