Expensive, but really worth it. 3/8 " will also do 5/16 "

It costs serious money for what it is. But as soon as you use it, you're like, "oh, wow, that was easy".I used it on 3/8" aluminum tube as well as 5/16" steel tube. Yes, it works just fine on slightly smaller diameter tube as well. I tried it on some 1/4" steel tube and the results weren't as good (straightens to a slight arc). Then again, you can get a 1/4" version of this but a 5/16" version is harder to find. It's stupidly easy to use and is completely worth the cost if you want anything…

Pros
  • Perfect for rolled up coils brake line and you can even fix some bad bends if it's not to far bent...
Cons
  • It may not sufficiently straighten tubing that is severely bent or coiled, leading to potential leaks or breaks

Just what I needed good for me

For a specialized application I needed to straighten over 120 feet of coiled 1/4" copper tubing (20 ft in each coil) and then cut and bend to specific shapes. Although I balked a bit at the price, this tube straightener was more than worth the cost. I was easily able to completely straighten the tubing in mere seconds without any kinks or crimps. Really does the trick. NIce item.

Pros
  • Works great. Straitened 1/4 stainless for me.
Cons
  • It may require the purchase of additional accessories or tools to achieve the best results

Tool Quality on my review.

Works like you would think it should! Does a great job on steel, coated, and coppernickle.should have bought this a long time ago!

Pros
  • Worked just like it should have. Great product!
Cons
  • It may not be fully compatible with some thicker or larger diameter tubing sizes, limiting its usefulness for certain projects

Won't completely straighten tight radius bends

Good purchase if your tubing is new and coiled, this tool works very well. It's easy to use and gets the job done nicely. But, if you're interested in straightening used tubing to improve its appearance, save your money; you can do just as well with some time and soft-jaws in a vice.If the rollers were closer together, the tool would be smaller and straighten kinks and short-radius bends much better.

Pros
  • Straightened a 1/4 coil of stainless tubing out like a boss. Straight as an arrow with ease.
Cons
  • The tool may be prone to wear and tear over time, reducing its overall effectiveness and lifespan

Works well. in my review

Works well to straighten brake line from a 25’ coil. Leaves a very slight bend but it’s very fast and better than pliers or by hand. Quality seems plenty good enough for the intended use of this product and I expect it to last for years.

Pros
  • Worked perfect to straighten the rolled up 3/16 copper/nickel brake line I bought.
Cons
  • The price point may be higher than other similar products on the market, making it less accessible to budget-conscious buyers

Works great: my feedback

Used this on stainless 3/16 line, was super easy and fast. I was worried it would be hard to straighten stainless but it was not.

Pros
  • Should have bought one of these years ago.
Cons
  • I am sure this would work great on softer metals but stainless is too much for it.

Little pricey, but it works

I'm sure someone could build something that worked very similar for around $10 if they had the right tools at home (ie drill press, welder).but I don't so I had to shell out the money. What can I say its a pretty straight forward tool and it works well. Just wish it cost half as much.

Pros
  • Works great a little high priced
Cons
  • It may require multiple passes over the same area of tubing to achieve desired results, which can be time-consuming

It works nice - my new review

This product sure makes it easy to straighten out coils of brake line. I used it on galvanized line and it worked great, so much better than trying to straighten by hand. You just feed the line through and run it back and forth a few times to get it completely straight and off you go to make your necessary lengths and bends for your application. It works awesome. Can’t imagine why I didn’t get this earlier! Makes brake line straightening much more enjoyable.

Pros
  • Did what it needed to do, no complaints
Cons
  • It may not work as well on older or vintage vehicle models with unique tubing sizes or materials

I'll never make lines without one of these tools again.

Why have I never used one of these before? I've been a master mechanic for 12 years and making nice looking brake lines has always been a struggle. This thing can make custom lines look like factory in minutes. The price is a bit steep but it's pretty nicely made, and well worth the professional looking job.

Pros
  • World great
Cons
  • The tool may not be as durable as heavier-duty options, limiting its use in high-stress or high-volume applications

Works with pre-flared tubing

With some extra steps, works well with pre-flared tubing. I used on a set of GM replacement brake lines in nickle-copper. They were pre-flared with the nuts already assembled.Using a 3mm Allen wrench, remove the eight screws to split the tool in half. The tubing will snap in between the wheels with a bit of effort. Reassemble the tool halves and tightened the removed screws. Then use the tool as normal. Repeat the disassembly to remove the straightened tubing.

Pros
  • Works pretty darn good but would be nice if it did more sizes. Definitely makes things look cleaner
Cons
  • The handheld design can become tiring or uncomfortable to use during longer periods of tubing straightening
