I experienced the gray screen of death myself when my 2010 13" Macbook Pro recently decided it wasn't booting properly. It stayed stuck on a gray screen at startup with a spinning wheel that kept spinning. and spinning. and spinning. Booting into recovery mode found my hard drive was corrupt - awesome! I was concerned about the cost of the purchase of a brand new computer but then I thought why not try to fix it myself? I chose 3-5 days delivery, the package arrived in two days! Very impressed.

I can't comment on the durability of this product but I'm incredibly pleased with the performance and ease of installation of my MacBook Pro. I watched a video on how to do it yourself and swapped it out in less than 5 minutes. You will need a Philips 00 screwdriver (or a micro set from a dollar store and use the smallest screwdriver in the set).
