The best pickup!

First I bought AT-VM95E but I decided to upgrade the stylus to Microlinear (ML) version. The difference is incredible. I hear details in the music that I have never heard in my life! I've been listening to the same records for over 50 years and the AT-VMN95ML has breathed new life into the music. I have many different cartridges, some very expensive, and the AT-VMN95ML is the best I have ever heard.

Very good replacement stylus for VM95 cartridge

It's time for my first stylus change on my new Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB turntable which came with a VM95 elliptical stylus cartridge. After research, I knew I wanted to switch to a microlinear needle. So I bought the AT-VMN95ML pen which is a huge improvement over the elliptical pen. But at the same time, I invested in the Audio-Technica VM540ML/H Turntable Headshell/Cartridge Combo Kit, which took the turntable to a new level of clarity and instrument separation. Therefore, I give the…

Really important

I went back and forth on this product at first. In fact, I didn't need a spare pen. On the other hand, I only had about 200 hours. I scoured the internet looking for reviews. I have mixed results. Some people said it made a huge difference, while others swore it just lasted longer. I can confirm that this stylus really makes a difference. It's a bit quieter overall, but you'll hear significantly less surface noise and get a more dynamic sound. It's warm, full and beautiful. I played back…

A big improvement over the 95E

I'm just getting started with vinyl and my youngest daughter decided to throw the arm and cartridge/stylus in the carpet while I changed the album. This of course severely bent the cantilever. Not wanting to risk ruining my notes, I thought this would be a good opportunity to upgrade the standard 95E stylus on my LP120X. After installing the 95ML, I was immediately struck by the much more defined and separated mids and highs, while the 95E seemed to confuse them. together. Again, I'm just…

Just buy this.: Turntable cartridge

I, like many others, bought this to replace the VMN95E. This product sounded great from the first time I dropped the needle. Much less surface noise than ellipticals and much more spacious and full of sound. It took me by surprise and I didn't even get past the break time. I bought this range of AT products to help set up an old 1200 mk2 that has sat for over 20 years. I love how easy it is to start with a basic cartridge and upgrade the needle later. I will double check the alignment but I was

Worth every penny! 🎷🎺🥁🎸🎧

I've had this player for almost a year now and I really like the standard stylus that comes with it. I believe it was updated/remastered in 2018 and got some great reviews. Like many, I wanted to see if a more expensive needle really improved the sound. I did some research and settled on this one. I liked that all I had to do was take out the old pen and put in the new one. No adjustments required! They tubers recommend it, but Audio-Technica says you don't need it. I'm amazed I was really…

Worth every penny!: DJ gear

This pen has allowed me to hear things I've never heard before on a record I've been listening to for 35 years. Who would have thought that this little thing would make such a big difference? It's also not a cartridge. You can use the same AT cartridge - that needle is what matters. I'm not really a crazy audiophile, although I have about $1,000 in my system - all vintage speakers - no crisp new ones. But this needle makes a huge difference, probably the biggest difference per dollar I've ever…

Great but small.

I finally broke down and paid $149 for this stylus and I'm glad I did! It fits perfectly with my Audio Technica AT-VM95E cartridge on my AT-LP120X turntable. My biggest concern was internal groove distortion. Distortion has been SIGNIFICANTLY reduced on my albums, and on some you can't even hear it! Completely happy with it! Really good tone reproduction too and for me it runs fine at 2 grams. One concern: I've found some of my 45s to dig an excessive amount of dirt out of the grooves. However,

Good replacement stylus but not essential

I bought this stylus to replace the standard AT-VMN95E stylus on my AT-LP120XUSB player. I didn't need a new stylus, but I've read it was a worthy upgrade. I wasn't sure about the $150 price tag, but since it's supposed to last about three times longer than a standard elliptical stylus, it had some value as I plan to use this turntable for many years to come. If you listen to the new recordings, you won't notice much of a difference, if at all. This is one of those problems with YMMV - I have a
