Plug and play with Verizon's gig service. No support call

Upgrading my fios router. I found it's plug and play. Verizon didn't offer me a new router when I switched to gig services. This honeycomb system covers my 3,000 square feet. Feet and an outside porch for about half the cost of a new Verizon WiFi router! Didn't get what I paid for from Verizon. Now with Azores AX 1800. I get what I pay for. Finally! I didn't have to call Verizon to ask them to let me use the mesh router. I had to pick and pick well after a month of use!

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Honestly not worth it

I bought this cheaper end router because I didn't want to spend more than $400 on a router but that was a mistake. I saw decent reviews thought it should be good but no! Firstly there isn't really a manual, it comes with 1 sheet of paper with a few steps that don't help you at all to set up the grid, no customer service, I'm still waiting for someone to reply to this email I received have sent. It took over 2 hours just to set up the grid because I had to figure everything out on my own, if…

Great for the price.

Excellent Wi-Fi network with good bandwidth. It has a web interface which I found useful for managing the device as well as for configuration. I have not been able to get this unit to work well with my Lifx lightbulbs that I bought a few years ago. The light kept disconnecting from wifi and I had to turn the light off and back on to get it back on. I had to go back to my old wifi router and now my lights stay connected. Sometimes these are compatibility issues and not all devices will work. I…

Great if you're tech savvy

If you're good with passwords and page setup, this setup is for you. I had a mess of bad-speed networks - I switched everything to this pair and have maximum speed everywhere - and on the street too. I can't use the app because the default app uses the device's default IP, my master changed the IP so the app is useless. The value is tremendous if you can resolve some technical issues during installation.

Works amazing! Although more detailed instructions are required.

Okay I have to say I had a few issues setting up my router. For example, the instructions do not tell you that you only have to connect the slave router. That's all! Oh, and wait 5 minutes. to connect them. The instructions aren't the most detailed, but once I figured it out, bam! Communication was quick and responsive! Detailed instructions please.
