Product was crap and didn't work

product didn't work or warned us about bad weather never worked. It looked used when I received it. Contact seller, he refused to return full amount and charged me. I bought another weather radio. I wouldn't buy any product from them, they were rude and there products don't cost $50, I wouldn't even pay $10. If it worked, at least I could handle being used a little.

Excellent weather warning radio.

This is a great product. The radio has excellent reception. I have a Midland WR120, WR-300 and WR400 each with their own issues. I'm glad I found the Reecom R-1630C which solved all my Midland weather radio problems. Reecom features EOM (End of Message) detection and siren volume control. It will mute after the alert ends instead of continuing for an extra 5 (annoying!) minutes (like my Midland WR-300).

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Available in black only

Great reliable radio

I bought some original R1630's many years ago and gave some to my siblings as gifts. These radios have worked so well over the years that they are my favorite weather radio. I recently bought the R1630C as I recently moved house and needed a replacement. The programming was the same as I remembered and it now serves as our main weather radio upstairs next to the bedrooms to wake us up at night in the event of a tornado.

The external antenna broke after just a few days of use

I happily bought this weather radio for my 15 year old son who loves the weather very much. The radio arrived as described, however after only a few days of use the tip of the external antenna broke off. As expected the external antenna is NOT covered by the product warranty so I attempted to contact the seller through Revain. After a week of waiting, I received no reply. I am very disappointed with this product, especially since one of the few parts not covered by the warranty broke after just

One of the most valuable safety items in my house after 10 years

My first review of Revain. on a product I've owned for 10 years! I sincerely consider it one of the most valuable security features in my home. right there with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. My radio has been in active use for 10 years. At first I only bought it because I was interested in severe weather, but I quickly realized not only the value of the product itself, but also the amazing work our National Weather Service is doing. The NWS issues alerts to protect us, but most people…

Radio Great Adapter isn't that great.

Upgraded from 3 stars to 1 star because the customer service is terrible! (((ATTENTION TO THE BUYER))) If you have any problems, you can expect rude answers and bad attitude from the seller. I said the RADIO was GREAT so I gave it 3 stars to begin with! but it has a broken power supply, but the seller won't do anything to fix this problem, I had to return it, but I was afraid that the seller would rip me off with correct answers and other negative reviews here. Also, it looks like the one I…

UPDATE; Reecom R-1630C Review - March 10, 2016 - Fort Worth, TX. Now, after almost a full year of operation and being exposed to LOTS of severe weather including tornadoes, Reecom has exceeded my expectations: none of the bad things mentioned in other reviews. I am blessed I think. I cannot recommend this product more! Read below: Reecom R-1630C Review - 5/29/15 - Fort Worth, TX I only had the R-1630C for one night and it's already a huge relief! Please allow me to explain. I had several…

Works great * Downgraded to 4 stars, see update.

Setting up the weather radio was as easy as I expected. I was able to set my region fairly easily and just turn off notifications I didn't need. For example, the Missouri River is above high water level in Omaha to the Northeast right now. So every little storm triggers a flash flood warning in my area. I'm far enough from the river and far enough from the flood plain that I don't need a high water alert, especially at 3am when it's raining. So I turned off the flood warnings. I just want to be
