Why pay more? These are the perfect shorts for any mission or activity. Lightweight, breathable 3 pockets, one with zip. I really don't understand why anyone would buy shorts with no pockets. Most need at least one for cell phone and keys. A zippered pocket ensures security. I'll never understand why anyone needs knee-length or even below-the-knee shorts. Can anyone explain to me?

Context: Avid runner, occasional rider of 30+ miles per week. I have a lot of shorts but I'm always on the lookout for great deals to change out when others have worn out. Pros: great price, good pockets (hard to find discounts on shorts with good pockets), no frills basic. Design Cons: The liner seems to be too big and clumps a bit. They fit almost as expected. I used to have problems with it, but it was good. In any case, they can be slightly smaller than the smaller size, so if you are in doubt between two sizes, you can go for the larger size, but that's just a little.
