Good quality rope for my opinion

I used two of these to make some lifelines for my sailboat. It's less than half the price of Dyneema at the marine store and appears to be of similar quality. It's supple and easy to splice. It comes with a length of protective sleeve which I cut into short pieces for chafe protection where the rope passes through the stanchions. It's rated strength is nearly twice that of the stainless cable safety line that it replaced so even if the UV degrades it somewhat over time, it should still be…

Pros
  • Worked and took about 10 minutes to replace
Cons
  • Happy with it

did not work! - my new review

Put it on my boat trailer winch and it failed the first time I tried to put the boat back on the trailer see pictures fun @ the ramp!

Pros
  • This is a great product my kids use to train for soccer and to play street hockey.
Cons
  • The rope may have a tendency to stretch or sag, compromising its strength and ability to pull

Great for climbing sticks

Like another reviewer, I bought this to rope mod my climbing sticks. This rope worked great! Easy to install and brummel splice. Very little stretch and holds far more weight than I'll ever apply. Same function as Amsteel, but half the price.

Pros
  • good price. seems strong.
Cons
  • The bright blue color may not be as camouflaged or blend in as well as traditional winch lines

Works great for my opinion

I've had a few chances to use this now and it works just as well as my steel cable. I put it in a 2500 lb winch so the wince would tear up before the rope snapped. It's so much easier to use than steel I love it.

Pros
  • Great for rope modding climbing sticks, and cheaper than Samson branded amsteel.
Cons
  • The 50ft length may not be sufficient for all off-road or recovery scenarios

Comparable to Amsteel Blue

Bought this for saddle hunting to use as a daisy chain on climbing sticks and platform. I did the daisy chain splice (very easy to do with this) and it worked great. I have no doubt it would be good for a saddle bridge, but ran out of material on 3 sticks and platform. Very great product for the price. Would purchase again if more were needed.

Pros
  • Works great on our UTVs
Cons
  • The synthetic rope may not hold up as well in extreme temperatures or weather conditions

Broke first time using snow plowing

The rope snapped in two within first few times using. The black cover over the rope really serves no purpose, it bunches up as you wind the winch in. No better than the wire cable crap.

Pros
  • Happy with the rope.
Cons
  • The synthetic material may be more prone to tangling or knotting, requiring more time and effort to prepare for use

Seems durable and great price

I prefer synthetic rope to wire on winches. It’s very flexible and easy to maneuver and you don’t have to worry about cutting your hands although I did have to cut about 8 feet of the rope off to fit in my ATV winch. Great price and would buy again

Pros
  • great rope to replace cable, i should of gotten two.
Cons
  • The synthetic material may be prone to fraying or breaking under heavy loads

Great for saddle hunting

Using this as an AMSTEEL replacement, so happy. This stuff is fantastic. If you're hunting and using sticks, this is the stuff to go with. Love the 1/4.

Pros
  • Easy to install.
Cons
  • The 1/4" diameter may not fit all winch drums or fairleads
