Might buy more

Candles look nice just make sure they are absolutely tight before you take them out. It took me 5 attempts to get the candle out properly. BTW you need to remove the base and then the glue that holds your wick in place, then press on the top of the candle (the end you are lighting) until the base slides out and pull from there.

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Don't waste your precious money

That's a piece of crap. I would have put 0 stars but they didn't let me. I bought after reading the reviews and thought maybe I could make candles out of this. I got everyone excited. I smeared it with vegetable oil and the candle stuck tightly to the inside of the mold. I only took an inch of wax out of the mold and it won't budge. I also tried without mold lubrication. Don't waste your precious money on it. I'm sure someone loves these types of shapes, but I don't.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Makes great candles!

These are excellent conical shapes. They form a federal candlestick style with smooth sides and no seams. I used 100% beeswax and had no problems with the wax sticking to the mold. Just allow enough time to cool and the finished candle should pop out right away. One feature I like is that the shape falls apart at the base. This makes refilling the wick and removing the candle easier. I have and use silicone and metal molds, but these are quickly becoming my go-to for taper candles. Will…

Pros
  • High transparency, lets you see the colors of the colored wax.
Cons
  • No power

A few tricks you should know

I wish this shape had a larger diameter. I make candles with beeswax and they would drip less if this shape was 7/8" or even 1" in diameter. I just can't find the perfect fit but for what it is it's pretty good hence the 4 stars. Here are a few tricks to get this thing working as intended. Before each watering, run a cotton swab with olive oil over the inside with a pencil, chopstick, or whatever. Skip it and the candle will stick. Walk a little on the base. If a little wax sticks to the mold…

Will not deform

Edit: Added two stars because I think I figured it out after trying the third and fourth candle. Cracked? It turns out that one end tapers a bit. If you try to insert the tube into the base you will find that only one end will fit. I think this end is smaller than the other. So if you try to pull the candle out of the smaller end (by pulling on the tip of the wick, not the end), it just won't come out because it's too wide at the end of the mold. .My third candle came out without hesitation…
