Great little tool for testers

Had to trace a wire through my new RV. Connected to a cable coming from my portable satellite and you get a faint red light. When I checked the cables, most were bright red lights, meaning they are from the connected TV. Continued to follow the faint red light and recognized it. Now the satellite is in the main TV. I had an old satellite system on my roof with a bunch of cables. That's what I need to sort out the mess

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • boring packaging

Useful cable finder tool

Being new to cable management it took me a while to figure out the best way to use this tool but I'm glad I did got it. I bought a 5 year old house and the original owners (and cable company) just added connectors and used 2 of the 10 wires in the basement. This tool saved my day and I was able to trace, tag, and add connectors to raw cables for the rest. I'm glad I found this useful tool.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Great little tool in Testers

I bought this because my sister had no idea which wire went to which room in her house. You connect one end to the wire to outside and the end of the beeper to any room (or vice versa) and start testing. Of course, this requires two people (one at each location), but you'll soon be able to label your cables accordingly. I even tested it on 600 feet of coax and the signal went through the line with no issues. Great little tool.

  • Wow

Save time on testers

My RV has coax cables in the bedroom, living room and they go to the roof antenna and a splitter in the bedroom to power the antenna with 12 volts, the splitter has 4 coaxial cable to it. I have used the Winegard dome for live TV and did not need antenna/coax cables. All the coaxes were unplugged, 🀨 I might decide to sell the camper and I wanted all the coaxes plugged in properly and this little gem did the job. Highly recommend buying it just to have on hand!

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Some small things

Garbage. Get something different.

Complete nonsense. The item arrived broken. Took it apart and checked with a multimeter, found the positive cable from the battery going into the 90Β° connector wasn't actually connected internally. You cannot complete the circuit. Save yourself the hassle and buy something better quality. I bought it a while ago and left it lying around. When I started using it and realized it was broken, it was too late. get him back

5 minutes from unboxing to identifying my mystery coax cable

Received in the mail, unpacked and put the battery in (you need to remove the mic AND the battery cover. If you don't have a piece with a protruding spring, you haven't got it right disassembled, see diagram on box is better), attached the signaller to whoever he wanted to connect to in the house, and screwed the mic to any secret someone outside until it squeaked sharply. I marked them with a colored tape and now I can switch modems wherever I want.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • package ugly

Big time saver, good for circuit testers

There must be a special hell for installers who don't label coax! There were 7 wires going from my attic to the splitter, and I had no idea which one went to which room. This handy gadget quickly solved that riddle for me; Screw the tone cap on one end and put the cap with the battery on the other end of the cable. If you hear a loud signal, label this wire immediately! If not, keep testing until you find the right cable. This is one of those items that you might only need once in a lifetime so

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Having the right tool for the job is half the battle!

I had to deal with all the coax cables in my house because years ago the builders didn't bother to put labels on them. This tool is so ridiculously easy to use that it took hours of trying for 15 minutes of work sorting through 6 different cables. You want to place most of the two pieces (with the battery inside) on the link in the room you're trying to find. Then bring the buzzer part up to the cable junction box and simply screw it onto any cable connections you have. The one that buzzes, the

This unit is perfect for home coax projects

We recently moved into an old house that had a control panel for phones, ethernet and coax connections. The problem was that it was a mess! Nothing was tagged, nothing properly connected or shared to the main line, the Xfinity guy who set everything up for us only got the bottom one working, but since we didn't have TVs in the house yet he couldn't verify that the rest worked. It's crazy because I feel like he should have such a tool to test but he didn't want to try it I guess. So instead of…
