Used this under my desktop computer and connected to a 7v connection I made. Works like a champ, keeping airflow in the right direction.

I was expecting more power, but I think when you have 4 fans and a shiny design you don't need more. Still, it would be nice to overdo it, as we all like to do :)

The temperature has changed only a few degrees Fahrenheit. I need a change of 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit. The fans didn't seem strong enough.

I thought it would serve well as a laptop fan. The only thing that bothered me was the fan speed as it is quite low. The metallic thermal aspect of the pad seems to do most of the heat dissipation work. Fans seem to be moving too slowly to show a worthwhile aspect. As a replacement I will most likely consider another brand. If you're more concerned with noise than actual performance, this pad will do the job. Couldn't be better for the price. I got a gaming laptop for Christmas and needed a cooling pad.
