This is my 2nd purchase of this slicer (the first time I bought it at a brick and mortar). The original one worked great for about 3 years (until I snapped the plastic hinge on a WAY too large strawberry. acrylic isn't exactly known for its strength), so I got excited to see this was a 2-pack. I washed it, and when I went to use this replacement unit the first time, the blades were all wiggly. Just opening and closing it (without anything in it) was a challenge. Slicer was easy to use and as expected to clean, but blades weren’t sharp enough to cut through our strawberries and ended up smushing them. We had to hand cut.

Material is not that good quality and it will break if you put force. Not very easy to use as it is claimed. Overall not worth.

Second time of buying, inferior and not sturdy. Blades do not align with slots, so it does not slice unless you keep wiggling them to align, in which case its quicker to manually slice the berries. I originally had one for about 10 yrs, these are so badly made I have binned them. I have now bought a Joie berry slicer which is much sturdier like my old one and aligns. Give this product a miss!

Originally looked into the product because I wanted the slicer. If I was just reviewing that, I’d give this a 3-star because it’s a bit flimsy and the blades don’t quite slide straight into the grooves. However, this cake with a huller which I LOVE, it pops the stems right out!

The blades do not match properly with the slat on the slicer. Often you will get hung up on the plastic, causing it to break. OK if you don't need to use it a lot.

The #1 reason I chose this product was that the metal blades were blades, not wires. Unfortunately the point of failure for this was not the cutting tool, but the support of the plastic on the bottom. On the third strawberry the middle plastic spine broke off. Since I had 6 pounds of strawberries to cut and dehydrate, I continued and by the time I was done, the adjacent plastic spines also split but did not break off completely.
